Katie is a lawyer with more than 15 years of experience at the highest levels of politics and government. She served as general counsel to the Romney for President campaign in 2008 and 2012, managing all legal issues from delegate selection and ballot access to litigation and compliance. Katie graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was president of the Law School Republicans, executive editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy and a teaching fellow in the government department at Harvard College. Following law school, she served as a clerk to Judge Timothy M. Tymkovich on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
